Can’t Concentrate! – Does that mean I am Sick?

Do you struggle with focus and concentration? Are you sick? Well, that’s not something I am qualified to comment on nor will I. However, before you fear the worst consider the Birkman Restlessness score.

According to www.medicinenet.com quote “The hallmark condition associated with difficulty concentrating is attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)” Throughout my life I could seem that I have suffered from such a condition. However, after completing my Birkman assessment I learned this about myself. That inability to concentrate was one of my Restlessness – Stress Behaviours. My assessment continued revealing I would have difficulty concentrating, become restless and easily distracted. I could start things but not finish them, have trouble exercising self-discipline.

These behaviours are not desirable, but they are, in my case, stress behaviours and that is good news. Good news! Yes, because as the Birkman Method reveals when you satisfy you inner needs then your stress behaviours stay away. It’s comforting to know that there is a large portion of human society who experience difficultly in concentrating because of who they are. It’s their personality. This is not something you need to be ashamed of or concerned about. It is normal for those persons.

Do you want to manage your needs, so you don’t live in the Stress Behaviour world of poor concentration? The Birkman Method can help you understand what you need to do.

What is your Restlessness score?
